Saracens head to London Stadium for an AVIVA Premiership game in a showcase fixture against their old foes, Harlequins this weekend.
Bringing the fixture to London Stadium for the very first time on Saturday 24 March, Saracens will be hoping to make a statement in their first trip to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
With the game schedule to kick-off at 3pm, the Saracens can expect to see a return of their international stars, following the recent Six Nations series which saw Ireland win the grand slam.
Saracens will welcome back eight internationals who plied their trade at the Six Nations, with the first club rugby game to be played here at London Stadium — Sarries captain Brad Barritt looks forward to a new challenge.Â
“Quins are a team we have a lot of respect for as a London rival club,†said Barritt.
“They have fantastic players across their squad and we always know it’s going to be a tough fixture against them.Â
"There’s an added motivation having lost our away game earlier on in the season.
“Playing at a new stadium is going to bring a special dynamic to the game.
“This Saracens team has always thrived on going to new environments, experiencing a new challenge and winning so it’s one we’re excited for.â€
Sarries have lost their last two league games in the absence of their international stars, and Barritt insists that his team have the strength to turn it around.Â
“The beauty of Saracens and guys coming back is whatever has happened before, whether that’s positive or negative, we’re able to leave that behind,†he added.
“Everyone is motivated by their team-mates and people they care for. The next two months is about making Saracens as successful as possible.
“We weathered the storm with how the team coped with it; the period before the Six Nations we had some of our best form. The hope now is to show the form from the Northampton game and hit a winning run of momentum as we head into May.
“The strength of the group is its collective spirit and the way the team is able to fight its way out of a difficult situation and that’s something we’re very proud of.
“We know we can compete with the best and we’ll take that spirit and carry it through until the end of the season. The drive we have within the group to get better means we know it’s going to be a good conclusion.â€
As well as the hotly-contested match between the two city rivals, there’s a host of activities and extra entertainment taking place throughout the day.
2017 Britain’s Got Talent winner Tokio Myers will kick-off the match day entertainment in a live pre-match performance at 2:15, and a half-time show scheduled for 15:40, joining him will be dancers from the Saracens Sport Foundation projects and participants from Pro-Excel.Â
Multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, Myers fuses classical piano with electronic sounds and beats, creating an immersive and compelling experience. Myers has recently released his debut album ‘Our Generation’ and will embark on his debut UK and Ireland tour in April 2018.Â
Our ticket office will be open from 9am, for any collections, enquiries and information. Simply enter over bridge five and turn left, and keep an eye out for the Stadium Store.
At 10:00am the Stadium Store will be open, which can be found between gates E and F; with replica kit, training wear and plenty of other souvenirs in stock.Â
London Stadium and the island will open at 12:30 with food and drink concessions all around the stadium, you can also checkout some of the activations around the island.

London Stadium is easily accessible via Stratford Station, which is a 20 minute walk from London Stadium, it’s served by a number of lines including the Central and Jubilee lines, Docklands Light Railway, National rail services and London Overground.
