With West Ham United's fixtures announced for the 2017/18 Premier League season, we've picked out five matches that we'll be keeping our eyes out for...
Tottenham Hotspur: Saturday 23 September
Arguably the pinnacle of West Ham's first season at London Stadium, the Hammers all-but ended an impressive Spurs side’s title hopes thanks to victory under the lights in May. The game finished 1-0 after a resilient and spirited effort from West Ham, the goal came courtesy of star man Manuel lanzini, smashing home past Hugo Lloris in the 65th minute, sending the West Ham fans home in raptures.
Having beaten Spurs at home in their last season at Upton Park too, there is no doubt that West Ham will be up for this game, and it’s a fixture that can bring the best out of both teams.

Brighton and Hove Albion: Saturday 21 October
Last season was historic for the Seagulls as they finally made it to the top tier of English football, but Brighton and Hove Albion will likely face a tough test staying up in their inaugural season in the Premier league. The party atmosphere generated by the fans will be welcomed in grounds across the land, and will be a new test for the Hammers.
Chelsea: Saturday 9 December
West Ham fans love this London Derby, and adding to the equation Chelsea are now champions, there's even more at stake. While Conte's Blues romped to the Premier League title, they suffered a rare falter in the Capital One Cup as the Hammers proved victorious under the London Stadium floodlights. West Ham always respond when given the underdog tag, fans and players alike would love to get one over the champions next season and with the same attitude and work rate as the games last season there is no reason why they could not do it.Â
Â
Manchester City: Saturday 28 April
Last season Manchester City came, scored and conquered at London Stadium. Despite being second best in both league and cup, West Ham have historically enjoyed their fair share of good results against the Citizens. Coming late on this time around, there's every chance that this fixture could be a pivotal one in the Premier League standings come the end of the season.
Â
Huddersfield Town: Saturday 9 September.
We'll finish our list at the start, and with the final team to join this season's Premier League. After squeezing past Reading in the most dramatic fashion in the Playoff Final at Wembley, Huddersfield Town have nothing to lose this season. The bookies will likely have Huddersfield as one of the favourites to struggle in the Premier League, but their fans won’t care, nor will the team, who no doubt will spring a surprise or two determined to enjoy their campaign no matter what.
