London Stadium will host the UK leg of Depeche Mode’s Global Spirit tour on Saturday 3 June 2017.
The Global Spirit tour will be the band’s 18th tour, and their first live performance in over three years after releasing their latest album ‘Spirit’ in March.Â
The 2013 Delta Machine Tour has been noted as one of the largest and best-selling tours in 2013 with over 2.5 million fans in attendance, as well as selling out shows across Europe and North America.Â
Depeche Mode has sold over 100 million records worldwide, and have been nominated for four Brit Awards and the Best British Single award in 1991 with “Enjoy the Silenceâ€, they have also been nominated for five Grammy Awards.Â
London Stadium will host the UK leg of the European tour which will see Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher play to more than 1.5 million fans in 32 cities in 21 countries across Europe.
Gore was one of the founding members of Depeche Mode, and has written the majority of their songs.Â
In 1999, Gore received the Ivor Novello Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors for "International Achievementâ€.
Gahan has been the lead vocalist since the band’s debut in 1980, and suggested that the band be renamed ‘Depeche Mode’ after seeing a French magazine with the name. Gahan appeared at No.27 of Q Magazine’s “The 100 Greatest Frontmen†and No.73 on the list of “100 Greatest Singers.†and is also an accomplished solo-artist after releasing albums in 2003 and 2007.Â
Andy “Fletch†Fletcher was also a founding member and is Depeche Mode’s keyboard player.  Over the years Fletch has played a key role in the band’s success as he handles many of its business and legal interests.Â
Gore, Gahan and Fletch have won many accolades during their careers, as a band Depeche Mode have had 50 songs and 17 top 10 albums in the UK Charts.
The “Songs of Faith and Devotion†album charted at No.1 in the U.S and UK, their album “Ultra†also charted at No.1 in the UK.
